You know in SketchUp when you look at a view in Parallel Perspective....everything is flat and beautiful.   Very good for plan views of layouts.   Well.....does anyone know how I can accurately render this same "perspective" in Vray?  Ive tried all the camera in Vray, no luck.

A picture is worth a thousand words, I think you will see the discrepancy in these two renders.  I need to render flat views!!!!

Am not pressing the right buttons, or if this is a limitation of Vray>?

you have to turn off the physical camera. With out it you can render 2d elevations. it means that you will have adjust the vray sun and sky to compensate as the scene will become very bright without the physical camera. I think a multiplier value of around 0.02 should work.

yep, that works-thanks!.....kind of.

I am using beta version, and I think the camera might be buggy.  Just posted my description of the issue in the Beta forum, under opinions about version 90.

hi, what I do is, in sketch up I press "Z" or the zoom icon, by default it is 35 deg. but when you change it to 1 deg (just press 1 and enter), you will get almost a paralel projection, i say almost, because it has a very very little of perspective, so you can use physical camera, thats what I do to render paralel projections...!

By the way, this option also helps to view more of a scene, you should try by changing it to 75 deg. and you will notice the diference.... you'll get some nice renders.... remember that 35 deg. is default.

hopes it helps... sorry for my english.
